National Alliance on Mental Illness

Let others know that there is hope and understanding. You can change the way the world sees mental health.

NAMI Family to Family

Family to Family is a free, 12 week course for families, partners and friends of individuals with serious mental illness taught by trained NAMI family members and caregivers of individuals living with mental illness. The course dwells on the emotional responses families have to the trauma of mental illness; many family members describe their experience in the program as life-changing.

NAMI Family Support Groups

Family Support Groups are free monthly meeting of caregivers of individuals with a mental illness where family members can talk frankly about their challenges and help one another through their learned wisdom. These meetings are facilitated by trained NAMI members in affiliates across Arizona. Participants are encouraged to share actively in the work of the group.

NAMI In Our Own Voice

In Our Own Voice is a unique public education presentation that offers insight into the hope and recovery possible for people living with mental illness. Trained individuals living with mental illness lead a brief, yet comprehensive and interactive, presentation about mental illness.

NAMI Connections

Connections is a free, weekly, 90 minute recovery support group for people living with mental illness where people learn from one another’s experiences, share coping strategies and offer mutual encouragement and understanding. The groups provide an ongoing opportunity to discuss the challenges of living with mental illness and the techniques for maintaining wellness. All groups are facilitated by peers living in recovery.
